I today spoke with my mother in law (hard core dub) and ak her riddle:
One brother had a father who was a witness, and his father had also a father who was a witness.... what generation of witnesses was the brother....
She looked at me like if I was an idiot and said "well he is a third generation...
Me: "No he is still first generation... you havent read your 15 April WT right ???"
It was really funny, try it also....

Is it proper to use the term "Iam 3rd generation witness" in the light of the new understnding of the term "Generation"?
No, it is unscriptural now. As it was clearely explained in WT 4/15/2010, several generations overlaping are in the Bible described as one generation. So if a brother is a descendant of his parents and grandparents, who were all Jehovah Witnesses, and their lives were overlaping each other, they are all still the first and one generation of JW. So evidently using the term "second" or "third" generation witness would be violating of above mentioned biblical doctrine.
The only exception from this rule would be, if brother´s both parents have died many years before the brother was born, so their lives were not overlaping. In this case such brother is entitled to use the term "I am second generation witness".

Really not making this up, it was some 20 years ago, when communism have colapsed, Peace and Security was proclaimed, and the end was so close......

Question for JW - Why do you have a "secret" WT edition?
by Albert Einstein inrecently i asked my wife: if our son one day comes home and says "well, i just joined new religion, we study a publication there, that iam not allowed to show anybody..." how would you feel?
does it sound like a cult?.
wife admitted: that would be scarry..... me: so why do jw have secret wt edition to study, that noone else is supposed to get?.

"Secret Watchtower" - No, there is NO Secret Watchtower
by RubaDub inso as not to hijack other threads, i still can't understand why people keep referring to the new, "members only" watchtower as "secret?".
if you go to the meeting, you will get a copy.
if you have a family member, you can get a copy.

Rub, you are right, Secret is not ideal word, thats why I put it in quotation marks.
BTW, based on your reasoning, there is nothing secret in the world, you always can join the group, that has exclusive acces to such secret information....
Flock book is not secret, becouse you can become an elder and get it...
KGB materials are no secret, becouse you can join KGB and get access to it...
Who killed JFK is not a secret, beause you can...
But when it comes to religion, it is very unusual and suspicious to hide basic belifs from public. Its not about , church policies or finances.... I would understand that, its basic beliefs! They are not publicly avilable, just for those who are in.... thats absolutely weird....
